Biographies

Mark Levin

Born in 1957, he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Temple University and received his law degree from Temple University School of Law.

He has worked in the private sector as a constitutional attorney, is President of the Landmark Legal Foundation, a New York Times Bestselling author, commentator, and nationally syndicated radio talk show host. Before his WABC local show went national, Levin was a regular "caller" and fill-in host for Sean Hannity, who has dubbed Levin "The Great One". Levin has been called "an advisor" to talk pioneer Rush Limbaugh.

Levin served as an advisor to several cabinet members in Ronald Reagan's administration. He served as Attorney General Edwin Meese's Chief of Staff, deputy assistant for elementary and secondary education at the U.S. Dept. of Education, and deputy solicitor for the U.S. Dept. of the Interior.

He represented Edwin Meese during the Iran-Contra affair.

In 2001, he received the Ronald Reagan award from the American Conservative Union. Until 2007, he was a regular columnist on National Review Online, when his many other responsibilities caused him to reduce his presence on that site to frequent contributions to NRO's blog "The Corner".

Some nicknames for media outlets and public figures:
MSLSD: MSNBC
"Countdown to No Ratings" with Keith Oberbite
Screwball and Screwball: Hardball with Chris Matthews
Schmuckie Schumer: New York Senator Chuck Schumer
He mused that Rep. Barney Frank was "Sylvester the Cat", but later settled on "Daffy Duck" as best representing the lubricated lisp of Frank's speech pattern.
